A CESS Initiative — Centre for Educational and Social Studies

About

About Prabandhan

A CESS initiative exploring Indian philosophical approaches to organizational leadership and management.

The endeavour of nation building can happen through education. In the post-independent period, education has been regarded as a primary focus, with efforts directed toward providing educational access. The State has set a goal of 100% education through Universalisation of school education. The Indian higher education system has evolved with quantitative expansion, providing access to broader populations with diverse course offerings.

Quantitative growth and emerging educational trends present challenges requiring education to align with Indian society's context and needs. This necessitates research organisations conducting quality research to provide evidence-based insights for informed policy decisions.

Centre for Educational and Social Studies

CESS was established in 2006 as a Registered Society working with the Indian Education system since inception. The organisation engages in education-related activities and addresses current societal challenges with education as its focal point.

CESS is committed to bringing about 'Social Transformation through and with Education' via research, policy advocacy, and capacity building in education, health, and public services.
